I'll try and make this a short as I can.
Got a cold mid Dec. 07. Got antibiotics from dr. Went to California. Finished antibiotics wehn I got back. O.K. for a while. Woke up one morning had my ususal "normal" 3 bowel movements then 15 min. later got bad cramps and pain. Went on fluids but cramps and pain lasted all day. Had a stool test, negative, but dr. gave me flagyl (10 days) anyway just in case I had "c difficle." Felt great for 9 days & 1\2 days untill I woke up that night with lots of gurgling and cramps. Went to bathroom and felt better. Back on fluids. Had an ultra sound, thought they say a bit of the small bowel that was "strange" but gastro thought it was nothing. I could see in the ultra sound my bowel contents, mostly fluids, sloshing back and forth. Interesting. My family dr. put me back on flagyl, they made me feel really sick this time, lasted 2 days, gastro took me off it. Then discovered that I had a urinary (sp?) tract infect and there was blood in my urine and also that I had a case of thrush. Got more antibiotics and nystatin. Still blood in urine, got Cipro for 3 days this time. Also eating a ton of yogurt and taking acidophilus.

My problem is, my stymptoms have not gone away. It burns when I urinate or have a bowel movement, and it burns when I don't. I feel like I'm burning inside my gut also. The pain is in the mid left section of abdomin, which is not my usual Crohn's spot. it doesn't hurt to press on it, since 9:00 am this morning, now 2:00 pm, I've been to the bathroom 9 times. Doesn't seem to matter if I eat or don't eat, almost feels better with a bit of food. Doesn't feel like a blockage, doesn't feel like Crohn's and I've seen 4 dr.'s now any nobody can figure out what this is.

I'm going into the 3rd month now and it's really tiring.

Thank you any suggestions you may have.

Dear mary T,

If this has been going on for 3 months it feels to me like you need  more aggressive testing. I would make an appointemnt with your GI and tell he/she you have been ill for 3 months and not getting better. It is time to find out what the real problems is.

Take care

Could you possibly have a fistula to your bladder? See if maybe your family dr will order a ct or mri....
