When a person develops antibodies to Remicade, the chances that the person will find success using Humira are only about
20%. However, we have had many people here get good results using Humira when they had to discontinue Remicade.
My personal opinion is that the reason for discontinuing Remicade likely plays a part in whether a person finds Humira effective. Allergic reactions, loss of medication effectiveness, developing lupus antibodies, and developing antibodies to the murine protein are all reasons that people discontinue Remicade. The role these play in Humira's effectiveness are each different.
