The cream the derm gave me was Halobetasol Prop 0.05%.  The Rx was for twice daily but since it was sooo strong I tried it once a day and it worked in about 3 weeks.  Good Luck!  Also, I applied it immediately after my shower and used Eucerin Lotion on top of it.
The Eucerin kept my skin moist most of the day anyway.

Broomhilda,
That is the third steroid that my derm gave to me, and it was only mildly effective at twice a day. The lesions receed somewhat but get worse again after the next shot. I'll try the Eucerin Lotion on top of it...at the point of willing to try anything. I'm planning to see a Rheumatologist because I think he might have more experience with patients on Humira ---my GI has about 6 and I'm the only one with this issue. This reminds me of all the CD drugs we take...works for some but not for others. I'll let you know if I find out something helpful.
Thanks so much for your help---I do appreciate it.

Good Luck Moon-

What kind of soap do you use? Do you live in a cold climate? Keep me posted.

Broom,
It's 3 days since my shot and it looks like ithe lesions are beginning to heal again--crusts are forming and starting to fall off. This condition never fails to surprise me. We're at the end of winter here in PA and my very dry skin appreciates the Eucerin cream. It also helps with the itch. I use Cetaphil soap--hope that's not a problem. MI
