Just home from 10 days in Italy, an overnight in NYC, several long train rides, and two 9 hour flights. I did it! I just want to thank you all for the travel advice and for this board in general. Tips and helps that folks post here were on my mind and so very helpful. Overall, I had a few bouts of being very under the weather but I did everything and was able to eat well (I'll admit, I pushed it a bit). Travel is really taxing on us crohnies--will take me a bit longer to recoup. In the past, I've thought I was the only person who had to deal with finding bathrooms or trying to change the menu. But since I've been on the board, I've been encouraged and don't feel "all alone." I'm still in the midst of a flare (chiarore in Italian) but doing ok.

Yay!! I know how great that feels. I just got back from Singapore and Thailand. I felt GREAT over there. The food is so belly friendly. At least traveling by plane and train there is usually a bathroom unlike traveling in your own car and getting stuck in traffic! Glad you were able to do it!!

I'm glad your trip was a success! I hope your flare settles down soon and you don't have too many problems getting back to your routine.

Take care,

Glad to hear you had such a great time. I just returned from a trip to Guadalajara, Mex in late Feb 2008. I was so anxious before I left that I was in full panic mode. Thanks to all the help I received on this board and the recommendation of a good anxiety med, I had the best time ever. All that worry for nothing:) We are even planning on going back in the fall.
