I  have Crohns disease and had an early miscarriage so I went to see a reproductive endocrinologist preventatively before getting pregnant again (they specialize in fertility issues and multiple miscarriages). This specific one believes that some autoimmune disorders (chronic fatigue, fibromialga, crohns disease, MS, psoriasis) can rin hand in hand with a type of blood clotting disorder which can cause problems getting pregnant or repeat miscarriages. He is kind of cutting edge in the field. He is running a series of tests on me right now to possibly dx it. If it is, he prescribes heparin injections to help. It is quite interesting.  My mom had three miscarriages and had some of the same problems. It would be nice if this helps! Some of the symptoms were: asthma, bee sting allergies, penicillin allergies, feeling cold alot, dry elbows, headaches, alcohol sensitivity, chronic fatigue, fibromialgia, family hx of diabetes, MS, or heart disease. I know there were others-but I said yes to at least half of these things and he said-ahh I think I know what is going on and how to fix it. Interesting stuff! He has had several crohns/colitis patients that have been positive.

Thanks for sharing this.  I would love to know any more information you may have about this--the name of the clotting disorder or the kinds of tests the doctor is performing--so that I could ask my OB about this.

Yes,thanks for posting this! I have been trying for 8 months with no luck. Strangely enough,I have an appt. with an RE 4/16. I wondered if my CD had something to do with trouble getting pg. (I actually posted a question once but no one answered)
Please let us know how you make out and I would also love to know the name of the condition.
Best of luck to you!

I had 2 miscarriages before having my daughter.  After many, many tests done by an RE, the only thing she found was that I was ANA + which made the blood between me and the placenta clot, therefore cutting off the blood supply to the baby.  I just have to take a baby aspirin a day during pregnancy (beginning at ovulation) and have been able to have one successful pregnancy (and almost 2 - I'm 35 weeks with #2 today).
