I know most of you don't have this problem but I need some advice.  I have always been obese.  Because of the Prednisone I was on I now have steroid-induced diabetes.  Because of the Crohn's I now have Kidney Stones.  In the last 1½ years I've been put on 3 different diets because of all three of these issues.  I'm having a hard time finding foods I am allowed to eat.  Fatigue hits me everyday and I don't seem to have the energy to make healthy foods and to be perfectly honest I'm bored with chicken, fish, and overcooked vegetables and bland soups.

Has anyone been on an appetite supressant?  I figured that maybe I could indulge in other foods that I've missed eating but just not as much.  I still have to eat at least 3 times a day because of the diabetes.  If I'm too tired to eat that I suffer from Blood Sugar lows.

I'm not sure about appetite suppressant but I asked my GI about fat burners like Ripped Fuel or Hydroxycut this is what I got. He basically said that some of those kinds of pills can make it harder for your body to absorb certain medications but he didn't know which ones exactly. So he said if I wanted to try them I could and just , pretty much , see what happens. I know that wasn't exactly the sort of drug you asked about but hopefully it helped at least give you an idea.

Plaquenil, they use it to treat lots of autoimmune diseases, though I am not sure about chron's. One of its common side effects is appitite suppression-I am on that and pred and have lost close to 4olbs mostly because the plaq makes it so I don't care what or when I eat-it also really increased my energy level. (Plaq is prescribed for my RA).

hoodia is a natural, herbal appetite suppressant. i've never used it but ones i know who have swear by it. you can also try to drink more water throughout the day as that will make you full and curve the appetite as well.

i'd advise to stay away from stuff like hydroxycut as they are stimulants. speed and cocaine are stimulants which is why tweekers are super skinny cos they are arent hungry because they have no appetite from the drug.

the hardest and best way to over come food cravings is will power. super hard, but it really all comes do a decision. i find if i am busy during the day and on the move, i am not hungry. it is when i am bored and sedentary that i feel the desire to eat.
