It is that lovely time of the month right now  :-) and I keep feeling like I am going to get diarrhea.  I run to the bathroom and it goes away and then I wonder if it is just cramps?  I also feel nauseous off and on like I might vomit, but that comes and goes too.  My periods have not been like this before--I usually have constant cramps and no nausea.

Also, my gums are really swollen right now as well.

Anyhow, just wondering if anyone else has periods that are like this.

Swollen gums are normal during your periods and even during pregnancy (you can thank hormones for that)...you can also thank hormones for how terribly your CD can behave during your cycle...for me it's always a mystery of what to expect but it's usually nothing good.

I find that my diarrhea actually LESSENS during my period. It's like the two days a month I can expect to go fewer than 5 times a day. But it's not worth the cramps! Heating pad, peppermint tea, and some lollipops are my remedies...Indigo, hang in there, chica. Ugh, feeling vomitous is the absolute worst!

I forgot to mention that chamomile tea is known to ease menstral cramping, I drink it first thing every morning and during my periods I have very little if any cramps but I also exercise regularly and it's true when they say that doing stomach crunches or sit-ups ease menstral cramps.

I used to get them horribly when I didn't drink chamomile or exercise.
