I developed an ulcer in my esophogus once, with similar symptoms. It felt like anything I swallowed stopped and stuck right where the ulcer was, then I would feel gagged or choked. Treatment for the ulcer helped it right away. At the time it was blamed on my GERD, but probably the Crohn's was involved and it just wasn't dx'd yet.
