I had a vitamin assay drawn about 2 weeks ago (called SpectraCell by the Drs. office) because my funky neuro sx were worse again. Numbness of feet and hands, dizziness, sparky feelings in legs, memory issues etc. Anyway, the Dr. called and left a message that she wants to set up an office appt. to discuss the results because there were several deficiencies and it was too complicated to get into over the phone. I imagine most of us crohnnies have absorption problems. I do know that my B12 was low again down to 230 as she did that as a separate test, and have to take B12 weekly now. I am interested to know if any of you have had this done and what were your deficiencies/treatments. After 2 1/2 yrs of known B12 def, why wouldn't a doc order this test then?( I have since changed docs) I am quite frustrated, and feel that any GI doc should order this type of test.
