sad  I thought i was in remission but i had a colonoscopy yesterday and looks as if this lovely dd has been doing it's thing all the while. M y gi showed me the pics of the scope and i have ulcers all over my colon. I'm really in shock because i've had no symptoms that my crohns is active.Looks like i'll have to take more asacol he doesn't want to put me on anymore immune suppresants he thinks i'm on enough as it is. I'm not real happy about his findings or having to take anymore drugs.

Isn't that just so bizarre how that happens?! I'm sorry about the bad news. It's a good reminder to always take our meds even if we are feeling well.

Hi Kay:

(((((hugs))))) I'm so sorry that you got bad news yesterday. It's such a pain that our DD can keep on doing bad things to us, even when we feel half way decent. I know you're sick of the pills, but it's important that you take them. You certainly don't want to go down the really sick road again.

Know that I'm thinking about you and praying for you Kay. I'm truly sorry you had bad news.

Love,
Barb

i feel your pain, i've been in remission for 4 years now and i've been having sharp pains randomly in my typically CD area. i wonder if it's starting to creap back in. i'm not on any drugs and would have to go on humira if it comes back. i don't want to do that cuz i'm breasfeeding and am not ready to stop yet.

good luck to u and i hope the med will help!

Hi Kay,

I'm sorry the results of your colonoscopy showed more crohn's. It is very disappointing, but at least you know now and can start treating it before it does start to cause you pain and problems. Take care!

Geeez AuntKay, so sorry, but at least the symptoms are not as bad as could be. Heres hoping the up in meds does the trick.

Sorry, but there is the one bright side: You are not feeling sick. I'd just take my meds & schedule (ecck) a semi-regular scoping. And not worry about it.
Ironic that you can be relatively mild in the ulcer dept. buit feel like crap too! I've been on both sides of the fence, myself. as you know.

AKKKKKKKKK!!!

So sorry Kay! I didn't realize that you could have active disease and not feel it!!!! I'm so glad you had the scope so they know how things are going. Oh my! OK . . . this is going to help my decision on whether or not to start Entocort. I've been having a hard time making a decision on that . . . is it common for Crohn's to do damage w/o us being aware?????

Blessings!

I'm so sorry you got bad news, but now you can start treating the active disease and hopefully get things under control before it gets too out of hand.  This is why it is so important for us to take our meds and do what our doctors tells us to do and get all our regular testing.  Its also why I get so uset when people post about things that have "cured" their disease.  Things can still be going on microscopically that we have no idea about.

Please take care.
