Hello I just found this site on google and am very excited about it.  I am 25 and was diagnosed with Crohn's disease June 2005 and oddly enough my husband was diagnosed July of 2005 and we had already been married and had different symptoms since we were in our teens.  Anyways long story short.  I just started Humria 1 week ago took the 4 injections (that medicine burns) after remicade and other meds did nothing for my crohns.  I was suppose to start my period yesterday and havent and am nervous.  Not trying to have a baby while not in remission, I have not been in remission for over 3 years.  Does anyone know if humria interfers with your menstral cycle?
Thanks so much! ;)
Hope you all are having an awesome day!

I also started on Humira Feb 4, 2008.  I missed a period.  I'm not sure if it was the first one after I started Humira though.  My dr. didn't think it was Humira but I did and still do.  He thought it was the disease.  I have had this disease for 15 years and I have never missed a period in my life.  I am also on Birth control.  Good Luck.

Welcome!! I've noticed my menstral cycle has been out of whack when the disease it not under control. Which in my case has been awhile. I've started Remicade and feeling great. Now just waiting to see if it puts my cycle back on the right track, since I would like to have another child. I think there are docs who say an active disease effects the cycle and some say it doesn't.
