Anyone else find themselves falling asleep any time they have a spare moment that they do not have to be awake for? I litterlly just fell asleep at my computer in the middle of the day...

Hi Navy, I get tired but not really sleepy. My sister does though, and she has serious thyroid problems. But I bet
you've had that checked!!

That's funny. I can't sleep if I am taking high doses of pred either.

I found that on the Mesasal and Entocort I was so very tired and my eyes were burning to close.. BUT I would be awake until 3am some nights. Right now with the Pred and Sulfa I find I get very tired and weak but again... find it hard to sleep.

Have you considered being assessed for a sleep disorder? My husband began falling asleep anytime he sat down. That finally got him to tell the doctor about my 5 years of complaining about his snoring....and that he would stop breathing. He had a pretty severe sleep apnea. I feel that it contributed to his early death [age 58].

Yep, but not often enough and when it happens it does not last long. For some reason when you fall asleep and put your face into your bowl of oatmeal , your not sleepy anymore. Naps are what I do because I really cant sleep for long at a time. Always some pain to wake me so I'm a napper.

A lot of times, I don't necessarily feel sleepy...just tired. Yesterday, I felt like lead. I didn't have any energy at all. Today's a bit better, but I still feel tired. It's pretty much a perpetual state of being tired. I'm not a very solid sleeper, the slightest thing wakes me up. I also tend to think too much when I would rather be sleeping. All of this, plus stress from work, family worries, my health and meds, etc. probably all contribute to how I feel. I see my primary doc on Wednesday, and I'll be speaking with her about this (especially in relation to my taking Remicade).
Current Medications:

Pentssa, 1000 mg qid
Vitamin B Complex
Trader Joe's Probiotic
Folic Acid
Remicade infusion; every 8 weeks
Klonopin
Ambien, PRN
Seasilver Whole Food Liquid Nutrition

I am tired all the time..even though I try to stay in bed for 8 hrs..i don't get quality sleep. Fumn times. Just found out at the dr's appt today the nightmares I have been having are probably caused by the Ambien. It is a self perpetuating sleep problem! I could sleep on the floor under my desk if only I wouldn't get caught. I am at job #2...can't wait the ten minutes I have until I can go home and get in bed. Such is the exciting life of this 32 yr old.
