Has anyone else suffered with unusual and scary heartbeat after having their shot?

I had my shot 24 hours ago, and tonight I'm having really bad skipped beats, like 1 in every 10. My chest
is feeling quite uncomfortable. I keep getting up and moving around to kinda kick start it.

I've also had to take ativan to keep my stress levels down, due to this feeling. It's weird and I don't like it...

I have not had this reaction to Humira although I have had Atrial Fibrillation in the past. I had this before I was on Humira. It started out feeling like skipped beats and then turned into very rapid beats. I really waited far too long to go to the hospital for that one.

If it continues with you, I would head to the ER. Odd beating can sometimes cause blood clots. I will also say that when my heart beats oddly now, I cough or just pound my chest once or twice and it goes back to a normal rythym. But, if I had it as often and you are experiencing it, I would check it out.

Vicky I too suffer with Atrial Fibrillation and agree with potatoqwn that maybe you should head to the ER to get this checked out. If you let it go too long it can cause blood clots and cause even more problems for you. (((BIG HUGS)))

Ihanks guys, Potatogwn, I did give my chest a couple of thumps, it was almost instinctual.

Gail, I'll give my doc a call today. A couple of weeks ago she had me do a 12 lead EKG, that came back as ok, but
there's something up. At least she's already aware...

Oh those are fun!!! You walk around with this contraption strapped around your waist for 24 hrs. But it will tell the doc alot. Like if its going on all the time or just sometimes. Keep us posted.

Entocort 9 mg/day, Prednisone 20 mg/day, Pentasa 4 gm/day, started Humira 1/22/08, started 100 mg of Azasan (Imuran) 2/20/08. I'm convinced that Prednisone is the root of all evil, and primarily responsible for global warming.
