To all the WA State Folks,

My husband and I are more than likely moving to Silverdale, WA State in October and I was wondering (in your opinions) which gastro docs/offices you recommend that are within a two hour radius (or more if there is a superb office)?

I had my fare share of bad docs, and quite frankly don't feel like playing a "shopping" game once I get there. Please let me know so I can start researching!

Thank you all so much!!

I live in Portland, OR, but when I was in the Prochymal trial, I saw Dr. William Putnum. He is great... In fact, I ended up seeing a few other doctors there (Read, Kock and Borohfoush) for quick checks and they were all knowledgeable, friendly and easy to talk to. The entire staff at Seattle Gastroenterology Seattle portion of the Puget Sound Gastro) was comforting and supportive -- from the front desk to the IV nurses in the endo rooms to the doctors.

Welcome Emma! I live in Bonney Lake -- I don't have any great dr's to refer you to...just wanted to welcome you to the beautiful state of Washington :)

I am anxious to see what responses you get because I am thinking of looking for a new GI doc myself!! Good luck with your search!
30 year old wifey and mom to 3 little girls, 2 dogs, and 2 ratties and working full-time outside of the home...nap anyone?
Suffered with symptoms for 12 years, dx Crohn's-Colitis 11/2007.  Taking Asacol, Omeprazol, Rowasa, Bentyl. Flaring off and on and trying to avoid steriods.  I've started a regimen of supplements from my naturopath to see how that helps: RF Plus (rebuilds GI mucosa), Similase (digestive enzyme), Cortine (supports adrenal function), Pregnenalone (hormone, helps memory and energy), and Vitamin B injections.
