I am 5 weeks pregnant with so much inflammation and scar tissue in a short bowel segment, that it is causing partial obstructions every day now. I would really like to have surgery but my GI told me that it could cause a miscarriage. I am extrememly concerned about how this will affect me as my bowels get squished and pushed up when the baby gets bigger. I am very anxious and scared and have no idea what to do.

I startd pred yesterday, it bothers my heart, I could hardly sleep last night and I feel completely awful.

If there are any praying people here, please lift me up to God. I am in desperate need for healing and remission.

Roni, i have stricture on my transverse colon, the stricture is very tight, but i do not have any syntoms of the disease, i have this stricture more than 3 years. Recently, i had a sigmoid flexure procedure, and the inflamation in my stricture is very mild. I have noticed that since i have started  homeopathic treatment my condition has improved. I take a high dose of fish oil, 6 tablets a day, folic acid, probiots and homeopathic remedy.  My weight is stable as never before, considering going to diet, just to lose some weight.

I hope you get better soon!!! good lucky!

I am taking Primal Defense probiotics, B12 shots, folic acid, liquid iron, and trying to eat a natural diet.

Do you have partial obstructions with your stricture? How often and how do you cope?

I had a resection in 2001 in termium ileum, i had a fistula into my blader. The disease is on my terminum ileum and my colon now . But i am feeling very well with very mild inflamation, no obstruction, no pain, going to the toilet twice a day.
