The past week or so I get awful pain in my stomach and it feels like I am going to get diarrhea but then after a while, the pain goes away and I don't get diarrhea.  Also, I have been having really loud stomach noises.
Anyone ever had this?
Thanks a bunch!

Do you think it could be gas? Sometimes gas can be really painful? Maybe talk to your doctor about trying and OTC like Gas X or something.

Hope you feel better :)

I have this happen a lot! And actually if I went to the bathroom when I first feel it I would have D but sometimes if I am busy and don't go the pain just passes on it's own. I've been on Bentyl for a couple weeks and this seems to help that a lot! I think maybe for me it's spasms. Oh! And my stomach makes loud noises all the time too....especially when I am somewhere where you're supposed to be quiet. So embarrassing! :)

I have this a lot, too. I tend to believe it's Small Bowel Bacteria Overgrowth because I ALWAYS feel better when they put me on an intestinal antibiotic, like Flagyl.
Diagnosed in October, 2004 at age 33.
Currently taking Colazal, Nexium, Ferrous Sulfate, One-A-Day multivitamin, Omega-3 Fish Oil, Vitamin D, Vitamin A
Secondary conditions: mouth ulcers, joint pain, extreme fatigue
