well guys i been hiding some news from ya'll.  i got me some narrowing, causing some pain and bloat etc..   we tried to find it  with the colonoscopy last time ( about 6-8 weeks ago.  )  but never got that far.  so today, (fri) we did the upper endoscopy with balloon and biopsies etc... (dang my throat hurts!) dont know what they did yet as i was very out of it.  i assume it went ok cause it hurts so bad , they must have been down there forever. will get a call monday supposedly.  whats next? who the heck knows... i still want off this ride!  devil

((((((((((( Randy )))))))))

Keep us posted! Was the balloon to open things up??? Can it help like in angioplasty? I hope you feel better today. Waiting for you to post your results.

Blessings!

Hi Randy,

You are having a terrible time lately!!  Where is the narrowing??  Honestly, it doesn't sound like you have much left to narrow.   sad sad sad    And then, if that wasn't enough, you are busy finding other troubles -- the lung thing and mysterious fevers.  Stop being so creative!

Did they try to expand the narrowing?? What drugs are you on??  Please hang in there!

Every time I start feeling sorry for myself over my CD symptoms, I think about the pictures from Randy's web site, and think, "Wow, I *really* don't have it so bad."

I know for a fact I would have lost my sense of humor waaaaay before any of those pictures were taken.

and the update is.....

got to read the notes from friday. "extensive erosions and edema starting at the duodenal bulb to the anastamosis. " throughout the duodenum and the jujenum ulcerations and heavy mucosal secretions are evident. biopsies taken at the distal, mid and proximal small bowel.

with ever increasing sedation, patient was combative and uncomfortable.. (no $ hit sherlock!) . the listed meds were 300mcg of fentanyl and a bunch of versed. no wonder i was "sleepy" when i got home.

will learn more later after the biopsies come back i guess. thanks for all the well wishes.

geez, i hope the folks in the procedure room aren't capable of doing the hospital version of hocking a loogie in your meatball sandwich with your biopsies, for being a recalcitrant, randy. i just hate seeing these posts from you. you've paid your dues many times over........what c-daddy said.
