Just wondering if anyone else has psoriasis.  My daughter has Crohn's and now she has psoriasis all over her head.  Since they say this disease has to do with the immune system and so does psoriasis just wondering if this happens to a lot of people.

I M,,, I have a persistent rash that appears on my face and scalp but the doctors just call it dermatitis. I also had a terrible rash on my legs for many years that went away for the first time when I started on Remicade. I do think they are crohns related.
If we would read the secret history of our enemies,we would find in each mans life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility.

I have it under control because of the Cade. Cade was also approved to treat serious psoriasis outbreaks. So I am getting double the benefit from my treatments. But yes, before Cade I could tell when I was going to be sick because my hands or my feet would get worse and then I would go downhill.

Psoriasis and eczema are both more common in people with Crohn's and their first degree relatives then in the general population. However, new-onset psoriasis can also occur as a consequence of Remicade use.

I also had psoriasis before Crohn's. But I still get flare ups of both. I also break out with fever blisters......on my forehead on chin. Yeah, sucks big time. My sister who is a fellow Crohnie also has weird break outs at times. It seems pretty normal to us. Been going on for years now.

I was dx with psoriasis several years before Crohn's but haven't ever noticed an outbreak of psoriasis when I was flaring. I am currently on Remicade which is also approved as a treatment for psoriasis so I am clear of any "spots" right now. Considering the cost of Remicade, I think it should treat more than one thing.. LOL!

I was fighting this rash, that I thought was ezcema. It was on my legs, my feet, and even some places on my arms. Now I know better, it was the first sign of this flare I'm in. Sorry I ignored it! Because it got pretty bad, and just using lotion wasn't helping. It was awful, and now I know next time I get it, to call my doc.

I'm one who experienced new on-set psoriasis from Humira. It's pretty rare but not unheard of. Seems to be resistant to treatment. I started coal tar rubs with phototherapy recently----rather be at a spa!

Thanks everyone. I love everyone for taking their time for my crazy questions. Deep in my heart I knew that this skin problems would be related to her gut. She has both ezcema and psoriasis. She is tuff though. Never complains about skin. She said compared to her other stuff it was nothing. Thanks again.

love,
Becky
