Osteoarthritis & Fibromyalgia.  Will post more details on the visit itself, tests, etc. as time allows this weekend.  Just thought I'd give a heads up for anyone following my latest downhill spiral.

I have the same diagnosis. It sucks doesn't it. The Rheumy wants me on either MTX, Remi or Humira, but just for my joints. I don't really want to go that route yet as those are some pretty strong meds and at this point my GI agrees. For now my Percoset takes care of the joint pain. (((GENTLE HUGS)))
Been living with Crohn's Disease for 32 years.  Currently on Asacol, Prilosec 60 mg, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain and Calcium.  Resections in 2002 and 2005.  Recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and doing tests to see if I have Inflammatory Arthritis or AS.

Hi Broom, I've also got fibro, it's not fun. If you can tolerate them, I find muscle relaxers do help quite a lot. I take Soma.
Awhile ago my doc suggested Lyrica, but the side effects kinda scared me off, although I've heard some people say, it's like
a miracle drug for them. I wish you lots of luck....

Hi Broom You sure got whammed with a double whammy. Was reading up on fibro. at least there is lots of info on it. What are your options for Osteo and the fibro? My thoughts are with you and glad there are others here you can talk to that have these problems too. I see yoga is good for fibro but haven't a clue if you can combine that with Osteo .I am hoping you have found a good Dr. . Hang in there !lol gail

Hi Broom,

Sorry to hear about your dx. I've been following you're posts on joint pains. I too suffer from the same two dx that you were given.

I hope you find a treatment plan that works out well for you.
