Has anyone had pain from their Crohn's where it hurts to take a deep breath? I have had this off and on for about 2 months but TODAY is the worse it has ever been. What could this be??? Please help.

Is the pain stationary or does it move around depending upon your position? When you lie down do you feel it in the same place? Where does it hurt?

It is down in the lower right side and radiates around my back and also up into my right lung. I have been to the ER twice and they did CT scans BOTH TIMES and said all they could find was that I had a lot of gas. My gall bladder was removed several years ago and they said my appendix looked fine. My potassium was somewhat low though. I am just fed up with this. I have been under quite a lot of stress the past few months. I was just wondering if anyone else had, had this happen to them....

mine always hurted when I breathed. every stinking breath, 24/7. I wish I had an answer for you. mine stopped when I stopped eating gluten. yp
48 y/o woman.  Diagnosed 4/06 after colonscopy, SBFT, CT-scan all showed crohns. 3 months later, after pred and remicade, all tests showed no crohns. December '06 had adhesions cut through a laparoscopy. Now taking Glycolax, Ultra Fiber Plus, Florastor, and DHEA. Have become gluten-free diet per naturopath's tests.

Perhaps you could try taking something like Gelusil. (It's an anti-gas.) It might help you get rid of some of the gas and you could see if the gas is causing the pain when you breathe. I've had a similar pain on and off and I found that it was caused by gas.
Hope it works for you.

hhmmmm "stress"
it's been years ago long before the crohns, but I was dx'ed with an "ulcer" that felt like that, was put on at that time a rx of tagamet, long before it was over the counter. the ulcer was stress induced/related...... may of been a pre curser of crohns for all I know. All I do remember it hurt like h*** and the tagament worked, my son a couple of years ago had something like the same thing I think he was give prilosec?......
hope this helps
May God Bless and keep you in his care.
