But, think I managed to get a little accomplished, at least. I'm going to be tapering off the prednisone by a half a tab every two weeks. Said he didn't want to put me on any new medicine since the flare-up I'm having now isn't as bad as the one I had before (I can agree with that, but still... I feel bad, and feeling bad sucks)... and he thinks a lot of my problems (even the bathroom ones I've been having) are from the prednisone and that I'll feel better when I get off of it. He told me to call him if I start feeling worse, though...

So... here's hoping this makes me feel better. (I'm dealing with a kidney infection right now, too... might take me a while to recover from that because of Imuran and the prednisone I'm on, but I'm sure it'll go away sometime)...

I didn't call my primary doctor today... I just felt too tired. I took a nap instead... so, I still don't know the exact results of that MRI I had done (the ER doctor had taken a look at it and he said that he didn't see anything severe, just some disc bulging, but the radiologist hadn't seen the MRI before I was discharged from the hospital... and I really don't know what the whole disc bulging thing means; I'm sure my primary doctor will explain things to me) because of that severe right hip and knee pain I was having. I'll have to call my doctor tomorrow.
I think I am being picked on by life, sometimes. But's that okay. Life and I are good buddies... I know life doesn't mean no harm. It just is the way it is. I can accept that.

Yes hope you feel better soon, the taper will hopefully help alot. Nasty when you get other things to worry about on top of everything else <kidney infection.> I finally got to see my GI yesterday and i had written out a list of questions I had and was not leaving until they were all answered.. lol... my "dont rush me" secret weapon. ;o)
Feel better soon.

Celey when I had disc bulges in my neck (herniated discs) it caused me to have very severe nerve-type pain that radiated down my arms. Not even time released Morphine helped with that pain. I ended up having to have surgery for it.

Once again I suggest you get a referral to Rheumatologist. They are the experts when it comes to our joints.

I am sure even though you are Imuran the meds will kick in pretty quick to kick out your kidney infection. And also on the taper of Pred, don't be surprised if you have a few days of worsening joint pain after each taper down. I always get that when I taper. Just want you to be aware that that can happen. Hope things start settling down for you soon.

Thanks, Nanners... You have been very helpful. *Not looking forward to a few days of worsening joint pain... but if it eventually means not having any joint pain at all, that'll be wonderful...* I dunno the extent of the whole bulging disc thing and what it'll mean for me and whatnot... that's what I gotta call my doctor for. I think mine is probably located in my lower back, though... (Just considering that's where I have my pain... and the fact that I have the most trouble with hip, knee, and ankle pain...)

Your welcome Celey....The Rheumatologist I suggested could really check your lower back pain. Some folks with Crohns also have AS and that affects the lower back alot. I am going to see my Rheumy next week and can't wait. My tummy is fine, but my joints are screaming at me right now. I have Fibro and Osteoarthritis, but I am wondering if something else is going on. It hurts something terrible. ((GENTLE HUGS))

*Hugs* I hope the Rheumy can help you out with that, so you can feel better, soon. :)
