So I was on 7.5 lortab for pain all of May...saw GI at beginning of June, he put me on Ultram, wasnt helping so he switched me back to Lortab 5's. (while Im waiting on Humira to be approved) Now I had D several times a day while taking 7.5 in May. So I dont think its the narcotic causing the absence of bowel mvments.

Now suddenly I have no bowel movemnts in 4 days, cant eat--no appetite, extremely nausea. Have the worst stabbing intermittant pain coming and going constantly and the 5's are barely touching it.
WTH is going on with me? I cant go to the bathroom, wanna throw up constantly, cant eat, and feel like a mac truck ran over me. Ive also been running a lowgrade temp. Any ideas? I was in a flare for all of May and my flares consist of going to the bathroom around 20times a day....so why all these symptoms and I cant go to bathroom nor do I have urge. Just feel sooo full, like I over ate at a buffet!

It could be an obstruction. If I were you I'd go to the emergency room.

Hi Songstress: A good rule of thumb is, if it isn't coming out, change what you're putting in. I would go on a liquid diet for a couple of days to see whether you can get back to your regular pattern. Also check for bowel sounds (do you have a partner who could put on ear to your belly? If you have no bowel sounds, if any of your symptoms increase, and especially if you start vomiting, a trip to the er is in order.

Ive never had an obstruction before...i thought I would be vomiting if I were obstructed. I just have this pain near my belly button that comes and goes in intervals and its sooooooo bad, I cant move, and have to take deep breaths and real bad nausea but no vomiting.

I dont feel the urge to go the bathroom at all though, should I??

Gail, Ive eaten but not much! lol dont feel like eating at all
