Hi everyone.... it's 1;10am. Monday but "yesterday" was Fathers day. I hope all you dads out there had a special day. I couldn't be with my father but I was thinking today about what made him special.... first of all. ... he is my adopted dad ... I was the oldest of 4 kids my mom and dad adopted. . My fondest memories about my dad is the way he carried my youngest daughter on his shoulder , and always rocked her to sleep after lunch... we would have bets on who would start snoring first...my dad or my 4 month old daughter... he usually fell asleep first, but she snored the loudest.
I'm proud of my dad for many things but mostly for his devotion to his family and for always being the first one there to help when we needed him.....and for his prayers and faith in me!
Happy Fathers day dad!

He has IBS and I grew up having speeding trips home from resturants. I always thought it was normal so I guess I didn't catch my crohns as early but at least I never felt embarassed or dirty by it. (I have a million reasons why I am thankful for my dad but I wanted to start with the funny one).

i got to spend dinner with my dad yesterday which was great. we got one of his favorites, kfc :D i feel very fortunate to have my dad. he is and has always been an amazing support, i would even say the main support beam of my family. he works hard and i am sure that's where i got my work ethics from. he's taught me so much and i am beyond thankful for him. i like when i do things and notice some little quirky habit that i picked up from him. it makes me remember how lucky i am :)
