So I am having a rough day, I am in a lot of pain with my joints and my stomach. I called in and said I would be in late to work but now I don't know if I am going in at all. I am just so tired of hurting I am in constant pain everyday. I am on remicade and have my 3rd infusion on the 1st of July and I am currently tapering off of prednisone. I just feel like I am on all of this medication and nothing is helping. I am optimistic that my 3rd infusion will be the one that works. I just want to feel better and normal. This disease is rough and I wish my co-workers could fully understand. I hate missing work like this because I feel like my office is just thinking "oh she is missing another day of work" but they don't fully understand. I am trying to stay strong and positive but some days you just need to break down and cry.

aw Shellz Im so sorry to hear that ur feelin bad! I so know how you feel and can relate totally. The Remicade quit working for me, i got a new doc that is going to try Humira and if that fails, he is discussing resection. Maybe you need to look into some other options! Don't worry what your coworkers think---they don't have a chronic illness! I always tell my husband--hey you think my life is great? let me have your colon, and you take mine--then you tell me !! lol

HUGGGGZ!!! I have to say i dont know how many of you do it, work and all, cuz every morning I wake up, Im in the bathroom for 2 straight hours normally! I will keep you in my thoughts! Talk to your doc!

Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength

Diagnosed with severe Crohn's colitis in May 2005--spread to ileum and small intestine as of April 2008. Have taken Imuran, Remicade, TPN, Colozal, Entocort, Flagyl, PamineForte, Cipro, Dicyclomine, Prednisone, Asacol, Prevacid, and the list goes on. Currently on Remicade every 8wks, 40mg Pred, Pentasa.

thanks songstress I needed that! I don't know what I would do if I didn't find this website. It is nice to vent and have people know exactly what you are talking about and fully understand.

Hang in there!  My experience with Remicade so far has been that it helps a little more each time.  I hope you feel better soon.
