I always heard not to worry if it is bright red. Its the dark blackish blood that is dangerous. Check with your doctor though...he or she should know. Good luck!

Blood in the stool is always a concern especially if it is new concern. That said, I bled heavily for years and years with every bowel movement. You should certainly bring it up with your doctor though. It could be a something minor or something more involved that needs attention. I hope it's nothing too serious.

Could always just be hemmorroids... but yeah... Good to bring it up with your doctor. (I get the same problem, it's not even a worry for me anymore...)
I think I am being picked on by life, sometimes. But's that okay. Life and I are good buddies... I know life doesn't mean no harm. It just is the way it is. I can accept that.

When I first had crohns that was one of my symptoms, when on proper meds and treatment it went away, now I only get it as a sign of too much stress or a mild flareup, its never really been something to fully worry about for me....alot of crohnies get blood in stool at some time or another, but yeah, bring it up with your doctors so they know. Don't worry TOO much about it.

EVERY time I flare there is always blood in the stool. And yes, a lot of times the blood is bright red and becomes a HUGE problem for me. Basically, it starts out with a little bit of blood and as the days progress I get worse and worse. Sometimes it can take weeks for me to get this bad, other times it can take only a few days. I get so bad I start having 10-20 bloody bowel movements a day and awful accidents. Anytime you see blood you need to be concerned and let your doc know.

I am always alarmed when I see blood b/c that means I am starting to flare again...

Red doesn't always mean that it's nothing serious. I was bleeding from way up in my TI, but it was coming out SO fast that it didn't have time to turn dark. Had I just dismissed it because it was bright red, I would have bled to death!

I think it's always good to bring it up to your doctor, let them know what's going on, and they can see if it's something to worry about or not.
