Okay, haven't been here for a long time. I have crohn's and had surgery about a year and a half ago. I was undiagnosed for about 30 years until 2004.  I have suffered from some type of back and leg pain for the last 20 years. It has been very persistent for the last 5 years or so. The problem is I have no swelling and nothing shows up on any test including blood, MRI, CTscan or xray. I also get very fatigued. Both the fatigue and pain vary but are always there. My docs just act like I'm crazy or something and tell me there is nothing they can do. I don't think they believe me. I was taking Darvocet for about 8 or 9 months but wasn't helping much so I quit taking it several months ago. I also have a very had time concentrating. I have suffered from anxiety and depression for years and am on 20mg of Lexapro which does help. I also take 100mg of Imuran. I have pretty much given up on the doctors and am only going to my GI every 3 months to monitor the Imuran.

I guess my question is does anyone else suffer from chronic pain with no swelling and negative on all test????? Oh, I also have osteoporosis....

Just wanted to give this a bump. I haven't been on here in a while, and was reading through and could identify with some of this post. Anyone else?

I have joint pain, elbows and knees.  I had no pain until I got off the entocort.  Physiatrist confirmed it was arthritis.  There is no swelling.  I'm currently on humira for the crohns which was initially used for arthritis, but it hasn't helped the joint pain.

I don't have any swelling... *There was one time two of my fingers swelled, but it was for a very short time and I haven't had it since* But I do have the joint pain... And I was negative for rheumatoid arthritis... and my X-rays were normal. My MRI on my back shows a couple of slightly bulging discs... "mild wear and tear" is what my doctor said...

I wish I knew what was going on with me, too. I'd like to get an MRI of my hips done, but the doctor keeps refusing... :(
I think I am being picked on by life, sometimes. But's that okay. Life and I are good buddies... I know life doesn't mean no harm. It just is the way it is. I can accept that.
