My goodness--bms (mush and pebbles) have become so painful for me in the last two weeks. My left lower quadrant just cramps up and it's awful. I know I have some disease there but this is the most pain I've had during bms in a long time. If I push on the quadrant or rub it, it seems to help. The pain seems to zap me for an hour afterward too. Before a bm, sometimes there is pain there too--heat is helping. It seems like it takes a long time to get going and then watch out! I'm so used to terminal ileum pain I don't really know what to do. Anyone have any advice?

You pretty much do what I do but my pain is lower RIGHT side, but if it drives me insane I take a half percocet,. Maybe your meds need to be changed?? I would see my GI, as soon as I could. Hope you feel better soon, take care!

Sure hope you aren't workin' on an obstruction there. Call you GI since you've had notable changes in pain level over the last couple of weeks. You are not eating those nasty seeds are you?!

Hi Sammies How long have you had problems at the TI? I know I had to have a resection to get rid of the pain and finally get things working good again as I obs. Meds weren't handling the problem and the fistula's I had made a mess . Has your GI mentioned surgery? lol gail

Hi Sammies,
Please go and see your GI, after two weeks of being like this you should be seeking medical help. Hopefully the problem can be eased with your meds being adjusted. Keep us posted. Joanne

thanks for the support. I don't think there is an obstruction as I had another night of up all night pooing--with the pain and then without. Just had a MR, barium enema, and colonscopy in early June. Things do change fast with this disease so I will be sure to monitor. Had not thought of an obstruction. Was thinking it was the ulcers the doc saw on the colonsocopy. hmmmm. And come to think of it, I have had strawberry seeds, blueberries, and mustard seeds. huh! I always thought seeds would bother small intestine but not large. can they get stuck in large?
