I took the 3 shots on Tuesday. Since then, I actually have energy. On Monday I couldn't get off the couch, I was nauseated, weak, and had muscle aches. Since the shots, I've been able to walk on the beach, clean the house, skip my nap, and eat a few more foods. My headaches went away and I gained 3 lbs. Is it all in my head or is it really working already????? Am I setting myself up for a drop off?

I'll take even just a few hours of feeling better. I know this disease shifts your well-being like the wind.

Also, anyone get swollen ankles with humira?

It worked almost immediately for me - within a week, I was eating solid foods again after eating nothing but Ensure for 3 months. I was amazed!

I've been practically symptom free since - it's been 1.5 years.

I have not had swollen ankles.

It worked within the first week for me too. I wasn't instantly cured, but I was certainly SIGNIFICANTLY better. I hope it keeps working for you!

Yep. I had a quick response too. My joint pains started easing within hours; within two weeks I was able to walk further than I had in years.

It was harder to tell with the gut because I was on a huge steroid dose when I started the Humira, but I do know now that I feel ill before I inject and better within hours after injecting.

It's great stuff and I'm glad you've had such a positive response!

well, the party is over. I'm still better than I was but the initial "high" ended today with many trips to the bathroom. However, I really let myself eat on Friday and Saturday--cantelope, some dairy, watermelon. I most likely overdid it. I really felt so good--like another person. And I've been so darn hungry. Yesterday, I couldn't get enough to eat. A bit better today but just had to have an 11:30pm snack after a 8:30pm snack. wild.

Sounds promising, sammies. Remember not to overdo it, though - give your body time to heal.

I'm really glad for you.

Sammies, I will be 2 weeks on Humira on Thursday and I have noticed a difference already. I also overdid it some and got sick. I think I was better than before but definitely not in remission yet. I think after the next dose I might get even better. I will let you know after I take it Thursday.

Good Luck!!

Karen
