If I could do that, I'd be ecstatic, but Randy, why do I get the feeling that this is linked to the fevers and bleeding and D? And boy I hope I'm wrong, if so, congatulations here too.

well i must confess i am not trying to lose weight. it is a side benifit of having very little guts and reducing the calories in my TPN.. i actually eat fast food at least once a day, and live on crackers, cheese and balogna, peanut butter, chips, fries , candy, soda, water, cereal, icecream, omeletes, bacon, etc.... i must take in 3000 calories a day by mouth plus my TPN. i am very sedentary, and i still am losing.. but hey i deserve some benfits for all the resections right?

I do wish I could eat 3k calories a day, that would be fun. I eat much less and I am still fat.

Monty Python's "Life of Brian"..."always look on the bright side of life". Take the good when you get it Randy. Don't have the resections like you, but just missing pieces of my but, and guess what, I too have been losing weight without trying...get that! Oh and when I try, I don't lose any...but..."always look on the bright side of life". yeah

hey gail, we had some elevated protein levels in my blood so we are reducing or eliminating the protein in the TPN to see what effect it has over the summer... we dropped the sugar content last spring to see what calories i needed to maintain weight with just what i was taking orally. guess we know that was a bust. however when i reach a goal weight and then we will adjust to maintain that weight. i would like to get to 185ish. before we do that.

HumboldtMom...your post follows Snipers...in a quick read I thought you wanted to cut your head off. It gave me a giggle.

Randy how is the temp?
Dx'd '90 (emergency rupture), symptoms ignored long before that, '03 fistulas and bad flagyl reactions, B12 weekly, Pentasa [until I surrender to the bigger meds]
