I'm starting small today, because I have several appointments and many interruptions.

BASIC CHORES
* shower (already done; I'm writing this while I'm recuperating)
* 15 minutes tidying
* dishes
* change sheets on bed
* no gardening, because it's raining

CROHN'S CARE
* _try_ to get back on track with my medications, because they've been messed around with interruptions & fatigue

FIBRO
* stretching
* 15 minutes exercise

No mental health pacts because I'll be talking to people today, anyway.

AND
* either pay some attention to my hands (neglected because of fatigue) or try to get some hair off de legs (ditto).
* get things organised for my 12pm appointment

My gp reckons I should be trying to do a social activity or a hobby, but I don't know how I can when it takes all my energy just to get through the basics.

*sigh*

Ivy, trying...

Ivy
I would make changing the sheets the only thing I do for the day - I find that tiresome. Shaving the legs can wait till after winter now, they are beyond prickly and would take a good part of the morning to do. Today I will be happy if I can sweep the floors.
Good luck with your appointment and keep your daily 'pacting' thread going its an inspiration. Jo

You forgot to add "read letter from Ivy", Jo :-). It should arrive today, unless the Pope's visit has held it up. (How is it there? Are all the roads blocked with traffic?)

Oooh cant wait for letter. The roads are blocked in the City but because we are a little further out it has'nt affected us. It was supposed to rain all week here but since the Pope arrived it has been sunny and warm during the day! Its due to rain after the big Mass on Sunday.

Hmm, for tommorrow
I must get to work on time as I am teaching.
Eat the calories I did not eat today-oops maybe I should just reset and eat a whole days worth.
Take the long loop with the dog since he hasnt had the long walk in 3 days.
Do the dishes I still haven't done today.
If I add anything else I know I won't do any of it. I too should try to add a social activity but maybe this weekend.

get up an hour early and practice yoga

Be at my computer at 9 a.m. sharp to try and get Elton John tickets online.

Bring my best friend the wedding album of photos taken by my husband and I at her wedding last weekend. This is the big one, since she lives two hours away and my husband can't come. I really want her to have the photos while she's still on her "honeymoon" because if I wait until she comes back to work (she works in my hometown, her husband works where they live) she'll be opening the gift without her husband.

I find it hard to drive that far and turn around and drive back, especially when it is a warm day. Just the thought of all the potential pit stops makes me hesitate.

Keep enough energy in reserve to accompany my husband to a fireworks celebration/dance on the waterfront tomorrow evening.

Ivy - I'll pact with you if you find it encouraging (as I am a major procrastinator and need a kick in the pants) but since my crohns is doing a TON better than yours I am afraid that I might be depressing you more by being too active if that makes sense. I wont be offended if you want to limit the pacting for people that are so sick they are struggling with the basics right now.

But if I am playing along - yesterday I wrote the thank yous for my 2 kitty sitters and walked down to their houses to deliver their thank you presents. It was probably about a 2 mile walk round trip.

Today I want to get day 2 of my new running plan in. This might be tough because I am car pooling with hubby and he has happy hour after work. I will not get distracted and stay there. We are also planning on dinner and a movie tonight so working out and then getting ready to go out is going to be a tough squeeze. Usually thats when I ax working out but today I want to stick to it.

Also - I have been majorly slacking at work lately. I want to bill at least 5 1/2 hours today.

Thats all!!

I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night. I also take a birth control pill to allow some fun in my life.

Yeah only 5 more for me. And Fitzy you can be sure I can count it as accomplishment as I was fighting just to brush my teeth today and not throw up. Don't you love these days? NOT!

Nanners, you sound as if you're having a really tough time there. I think it's an amazing accomplishment to even get to work. Wow.

Gail, what are crows feet? I only know them as the little lines at the corners or our eyes, but I don't think you meant them.

How did the curtains go, Karen?

I got all my pacts done today. Starting small was a good idea.

I failed my pacts today lol but it wasn't exactly my fault. I was all ready to go out and do my run/walk program but it started thundering and lightening something awful. So I went to see the batman movie instead!! I definitely did not bill enough hours at work today but think I may have got 3 in. I have just been very easily distracted lately.
