Well, it's been nearly a week since I've been able to hold down a substantial amount of solid food. I'm estimating I've eaten between 1500-2000 calories in the past 6 days, plus whatever liquids I'm drinking.
Here's the fun part: My GI's out of the country until August 2nd, so his staff told me to call the GI on duty to try and get some advice. Did that, he said that he'd set me up for an upper endoscopy in the next couple days. When I called back to see when the appointment was for, they told me it's scheduled for August 29th.
I don't really know what else to do. I know that when my GI gets back, he'll be more than willing to see me, and he'll get me in within a few days, but that leaves me with another week to not eat.
What I've been trying to do is have Jamba Juice, which isn't the best for you, but at least it's getting some calories, vitamins, and protein into my body. I've thought about
protein shakes, but I'm not sure what kind to get.
Does anyone else have liquid suggestions so that I can still function a little bit for the next week?
