So convinced my GI today to start me on remicade. He was ok waiting until Nov. when we repeat the colonoscopy to discuss that. I'm so sick of being tired and in pain! I'm already maxed out on Imuran and I've been on the same dose since I started last November. My latest blood work looks good so he thinks everything is healing well. I want to feel better and get a job like normal people. I just turned 27 and I feel like for the past year, since I was diagnosed and have been sick, I've accomplished nothing and taken backward steps.
Those of you on the 'cade: did your fatigue improve after the first infusion??? Mine is scheduled for Thursday... Thanks in advance for any advice!
Pentasa- 1000mg/2x 1/08; Percocet
Ultram ER 200mg; Prilosec 40mg; Xanax-ANXIETY; Cymbalta 60mg
Entocort 9mg
Probiotic
Ferrous Sulfate 325mg/daily for anemia
Azathioprine 150mg
Currently on a Low-residue diet as of 11/26

I'm so tired, when will this get better?

I just switched to Humira and am glad I did. I waited too long.

I wanted to come by and say congrats for making the decision to try a biologic!
I hope it works well for you!

Your fatigue could be caused by the Imuran. It always made me really really tired. You might try switching it to the evening and see if that helps with your fatigue.
Been living with Crohn's Disease for 32 years.  Currently on Asacol, Prilosec 60 mg, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain and Calcium.  Resections in 2002 and 2005.  Recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and doing tests to see if I have Inflammatory Arthritis or AS.
