Has anyone here had Humira stop working for them after it worked fine?

I started Humira around March and it worked fabulously, the next week I had gained a couple pounds from eating like a pig! Then, due to a series of crazy things (death, tests, papers, graduation...etc) I ended up spending May very sick and not eating at all. I got a bit better but never fully. Now, I cannot live without Imoduim- which only keeps the food from coming out immediately, which saves my bum from the pain but it doesn't keep me out of the bathroom after eating only to deal with spasms and straining where nothing but some little bits of mucus come out. If I don't take the Imoduim, I have to go not long after every time I eat, which you all know makes the bum supremely raw and yuck.

All this time, I've been taking the Humira faithfully, but now it seems pretty futile as it's not working. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had their Humira just stop working? Will it start again? Am I just screwed? The outcome of my sedated rectal exam was that I have extreme inflammation and severe Crohn's in the last part of my colon. Should I be pushing to start Remicade? How long do I have to wait like this before it's likely that the Humira won't start working again?

I have an appointment with the ColoRectal Surgeon on Monday, but I don't think I currently have one scheduled with my GI so I'm going to make one, I'm just sick of this bullcrap. What the **** did WE do to deserve this crap (literally)!?!? Ok, now I'm just whining and it's a little sad.

I had to stop taking Humira after 10 mths because I developed drug induced lupus, prior to the Humira I had inflammation but actually didn't "feel" any symptoms,so now I'm staying on the Asacol and Imuran and hoping for the best,Imuran had been a godsend for me for the past two years.

Good luck :-)

I don't have much advice, sorry, but i do just want to say that I know the same boat you are in, ive been in the same position for about a year with the end part of the sigmoid colon being in a severe flare and everything i eat i have to go right ot the bathroom and it's so frusterating because 90% of the time it is just the mucus and stuff. Just to let you know I was on remicade for 4 years and the entire last year it stopped working, now im trying humira so you did it the opposite of me, but remicade worked for me for a while, put me in my first remission after diagnosis. good luck.
