Do you mean Humira / Adalimumab? It's not new; it has been available in Australia for a while now; but is going to be listed on the PBS on 1 August.

Best wishes,

Ivy (an Australian who has been on Humira for five months now)

Bec, Humira has helped me, but I think it would be best if you discussed your options with your doctor and worked out what is best for you.

I'm surprised you're only on 50mg Imuran when you're so sick. That seems very odd to me. Did your doctor explain why your dose is so low? And has your doctor tried Flagyl and Cipro for your fistulas?

Why is it that surgery isn't an option for you? Is your disease too extensive?

You've come to the right place for help, support and advice. We have some very serious Crohn's patients here, and we try to be welcoming and encouraging. I hope you find all the support you need here.

It sounds as if you're struggling to cope there. Have you been linked up with home help through your local council? Do you have access to meals on wheels or anything like that?

Worried for you,

Ivy.

Oh, Beccellea. What a horrible time you've been having.

Has your doctor ever discussed Infliximab with you?

btw, you might like to chat with one of our members, randynoguts. He has serious Crohn's and multiple surgeries too.
