im 24 had crohns since i was 10, a fair while ago i was selected to do a drug trial for crohns which i think might just be adalimumab or humira as its also known as. I was wondering if its any good i was kicked of the trial as i got too sick after a week of being on it and had to have an opperation. I do remember it hurting like nothing else ive felt before. i can only describe it like they just injected me with acid. so im kind of glad i missed out on that but im hoping if it is the same one that they fixed that abit. I would like to know what its like and if its any good. im off all medication atm but im sure there will be a time where ill have to go straight back on it and now infliximab is a no go with me any more i need to find something else or its back to the old steroids for me.

Hello,

Ivy6 started a thread last month for folks who need information on new meds:

Starting a new med? Please read this before posting on the forums

(I'll bump it up to the top.)

The three links for Humira are:

Good luck,

Yes, it still hurts. I gather that some people have a harder time with it than others, and it sounds as if you were one of the unlucky ones.

If you live in the US, you may be able to try a different anti-TNF drug, called Cimzia.
