so, after being on 6MP for 7 years [on and off] the results of my latest colonoscopy, small bowel series and bloodwork show fistula (new to this) and stricture at the resection point from my last surgery 7 years ago.

my GI says that he doesn't think the 6MP is going to work hard or fast enough to take care of what's going on, so i'm having my first infusion of remicade wed the 30th at 8am. they told me i'll be there for 3 hours.

i've done a fair amount of reading about remicade on this forum and i think i'm prepared. my lovely insurance is covering it 100% after i pay the $10 copay. w00t.

wish me luck!

Good luck Brad. Hope it brings you relief and that that fistula closes.

Hi Where is your fistula located? I had large to small and one to abdomen. I was really upset about them and so glad they are gone. Rem. did close the one to abdomen. Wishing all the best.I did not have any problems getting my infusions done. Keep in touch and let us know how your doing. lol gail

thanks for the kind and supportive words everyone!

i'm honestly not sure exactly where the fistula is. during my small bowel series they did a sonogram type thing where they pushed on different sections of my abdomen with a wand with a balloon on the end and took pictures. they showed me where the fistula/stricture was but didn't say where that was located in the GI tract. im pretty sure the stricture is at the resection point though.
