Okay here's my last 8 months.  Went to the ER in December when RLQ pain, this resolved itself within hours after getting just plain fluids.  Never had that pain since than.  Was given Pentasa, than 2 months of Prednisone.  Than had an allergic reaction to Remicade after third infusion.  Than they thought something was wrong with my gallbladder.  However, this ended up being a muscle pull, and the pain is all gone.  I've gone for a second opinion.  My small bowel follow through they say shows old damage of Crohn's, but no inflammation.  Just had an upper endoscopy which shows nothing suggestive of Crohn's.  Awaiting results of the biopsies taken.  Could this be celiacs disease?  They tested me before but negative, but want to do another test of that.  The GI doctor said, until they can get something under the microscope indicative of Crohn's, they don't want to treat me with the other drugs.  I currently am in no pain.  Anyone have any ideas?

Diagnosed with CD in December 2007.  ER wanted to take appendics out!
Rejected meds:  Remicade(delayed allergic reaction after 3rd infusion)
Currently on:
Pentasa-8 capsules per day
Chromagen Iron- 1 per day
Secondary meds:
Ciproflaxin for Prostatitis
Amoxycilin and Brevoxyl for Remicade induced Acne
Having gallbladder examined.  Currently in holding pattern for next med

you will find a thread from last week with a lot about those of us who have found it helpful to stop gluten, even if we tested negative for celiac. there is often a connection between gut problems and gluten sensitivity. however, if you are feeling fine and there is no sign of crohns, maybe all is well? i was diagnosed with crohns two years ago and a few months later all was gone, never to be found again. I try to just focus on symptoms...if you feel good that is good!
49 y/o woman.  Diagnosed 4/06 after colonscopy, SBFT, CT-scan all showed crohns. 3 months later, after pred and remicade, all tests showed no crohns. December '06 had adhesions cut through a laparoscopy. Now taking Glycolax, Ultra Fiber Plus, Florastor, and DHEA. Have become gluten-free diet per naturopath's tests.
