So I had my second infusion yesterday. What a day! I had an idiot for a nurse who decided after she blew out a vein in my hand by digging around that she should go ask another nurse if the iv looks okay. She left the needle in my hand, taped it down, and left. At this point, my hand was already bruised and since the vein had been poked all the way through, the blood swelled my hand up to the knuckle. Doesn't look so good and feels even worse. Anyway, I got a competent nurse to start the IV a second time. My question, how long until I feel some positive effects? I want to not feel so tired anymore. I have a big family reunion in Pittsburgh, a couple hours away, and I'm not looking forward to the drive.
Pentasa- 1000mg/2x 1/08; Percocet
Ultram ER 200mg; Prilosec 40mg; Xanax-ANXIETY; Cymbalta 60mg
Entocort 9mg
Probiotic
Ferrous Sulfate 325mg/daily for anemia
Azathioprine 150mg
Currently on a Low-residue diet as of 11/26

I'm so tired, when will this get better?

When I used to get Remicade, I felt better the 3rd day after the infusion.  I hope it works for you!

Crohn's Disease, Acid Reflux/Gastritis, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Endometriosis, Arthritis, Depression/Anxiety.  Too many meds to list them all.  =)

Yes, it was the third day for me too.

Sorry about the IV experience. It's so frustrating when you get someone who is no good at them. I've got one doc's office where I just no longer allow them to poke me! I go to the local hospital for blood work!
