Well if your symptoms are not debilitating you might opt to just allow the 6mp to take effect -- usually it reaches therapuetic levels in about
60-90 days. That would let you hold off on Remicade until and unless you need it down the road. Most people tolerate 6mp pretty well and achieve long term remissions with it. I'd personally be hesitant about
starting one of the big-gun biologics until I knew that the 6mp was not going to do the job. As for diet control, I am one of those who is skeptical. I really doubt it is effective for more than a small percentage of patients with minimal disease.
