OK so I am getting to day 13 of my period (don't worry I have a gyn appointment tomorrow, that is long even for me who usually has about a 10 day one) and I had to poo 47 times yesterday (yes I counted). I hate that my flares are so much worse during a period.
So completely frustrated and in too much pain.
There are days that I hate being female and I hate having this darn disease.
AAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! skull

God..I don't even know what to say except that I'm sorry something like that is even possible...is there nothing you can take to ease any of that?? You shouldn't have to go through that..I admire you for getting through the day! I would be in fetal position right now most assuredly.

(((MMMNAVY))) Sorry you are suffering so. Boy do I remember those days of the month. I was miserable for about 3 weeks out of every month. I had a complete hysterectomy about 12-13 years ago. It was the best thing I ever did, in my opinion. I hope you get feeling better soon.

God Bless,

Wow Navy - I have had the marathon period on a couple occassions. One doc insisted on a pregnancy test as apparently some people can bleed instead? Not so sure of that one. Another checked me insided to see if any rough intimate moments might have caused some kind of tear. No tear found. Other times I think it is from my birth control triggering a period before one is due (like if I take the pill late). I know how frustrating it can be and I really hope you come to the bottom of it soon.

I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night. I also take a birth control pill to allow some fun in my life.

MMMNavy...hoping things are better for you now. I give you a lot of credit for dealing with the pain and the tushy issues together with such strength.

Would BC help in the ovarian cyst issue? only asking because my sis took BC for multiple issues none of which were to prevent pregnancy. I'm just hoping that the "change" comes before I hit 45 so I can stop taking the pills and may finally be warm :-)

Take and hope you are exiting the flare now too.
Dx'd '90 (emergency rupture), symptoms ignored long before that, '03 fistulas and bad flagyl reactions, B12 weekly, Pentasa [until I surrender to the bigger meds]

I remembered a note in a little booklet that describes using Lugol's solution to clear up ovarian cysts. It requires a doctor's supervision since it is iodine based and can affect thyroid function. The booklet refers to an organization called The American College for Advancement in Medicine and suggests that you call them for a referral to a physician familiar with the procedure. Relevant contact info: www.acam.org ph. 800-532-6688 or 949- 583-7666. Disclaimer - this group seems to be naturopaths and similar physicians. I have had no connection with this group and cannot vouch for the results of the treatment above. The author of the booklet was a practicing physician and reported treating at least 30 women for the problem, one of them his daughter, over a period of 30 years. The author has a web site: http://www.wrightnewsletter.com/healthy/drwright.html Sorry if this is considered spamming.
