cry

It just is not getting better no matter how hard I try the past couple of days.

Dr Frustration - Illness frustration (home again) - work frustration (boss- co-workers)
Financial frustration - adult children frustration - legal frustration- tied up in paperwork everywhere frustration.
Things are so complicated. I feel like a cornered rat. No way out.

I am so tired - I would love to hear from everybody else so that I can get through this blaaaaaaah.

What do you do when you can't eat ice cream because it will make you sick? Nobody listens to you because they don't understand?
When answers have to come from 8 different Dr.s - 4 different Lawyers - and your sick and don't have the time or money strength so you
have to choose one or two to pick at and you just need a break and a little normal? Let it Be by the Beatles is coming through my head but I want to
turn it off.

Would love ot hear from you guys.

I'm really sorry you're having a bad day :( Mine was no good either. I started the day by losing a whole lot of blood and barely being able to eat which is bad because it's also my first day back to college. Walking around was really difficult, and the pain would not stop at all...I ended up taking a painkiller later in the evening to get through my math class, but then I just wanted to pass out or stay in the bathroom. I don't know. I just felt terrible the whole day until I took that painkiller. I feel really humbled because of how much difficulty I had in even walking from one class to the other. And they're in the same building..
We can have a pity party :) And a get out of jail free card for ice cream. Seriously, I hope you do something just for yourself the rest of the evening. You deserve it. Again, I'm really sorry to hear you had a difficult day too...I really hope it's better tomorrow..keep us updated?

Hey Lmills. I hope it gets better for you! I know crohns isn't caused by stress but it can sure make us flare!! Hopefully you will get better as you get used to school again. Does your doc know you are losing blood? Are you living on campus this semester? Glad to hear you are hanging in there.
26 Year old married female law student (last year!!). Diagnosed w/ CD 4 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD. I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night. I also take a birth control pill to allow some fun in my life.

He knows..he's given me everything he can think to help alleviate the symptoms until he can see if I'm well enough to start Imuran. And he's trying really hard to see if I can start humira instead. He 's been really amazing throughout all of this :) I'm so grateful to have him as a doctor!!! Also, I live in an apartment with my brother and my boyfriend thank goodness!! I don't think I could handle living on campus with this. Thank you for your post by the way...it's nice to have encouraging words after today. I can't believe how puny I felt haha. Thank goodness for pain pills on days like these. And people like our board members who understand!!

Thanks MMMNavy and LMills - I don't feel so lonely.

MMMNavy - That sounds painful hang in there take care of your mother. Isn't it odd how you can
tell your Dr's are freaking just by the way they talk to you and talk to each other? My daughter just
had cervical surgery for cancer 6 months ago. I was just on to get her check-up. Out of sight out of mind.
I hope they gave you something to take your mind off that cyst. I had one of those years ago and
ouch. Speaking of Moms mine fell out of bed and cracked her head a few weeks ago she is almost 80.
I told her to stop trying to be Peter Pan. That made her laugh. She's on blood thinners so that was a big problem.
Take care of your Mom and Thanks so much for responding and I hope things get better for you too.

LMIlls - Wow Crohns and School I couldn't imagine - Math yuck! I am in the middle of stopping
Remicaide due to reactions and maybe onto Humira - let me know how it goes. Hang in there
with school as best you can!!

Hopefully tomorrow will bring a brighter day for all of us.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Well my pity party began on Sunday. Had my Humira Saturday night complete with low grade fever and flu like symptoms. Felt pretty washed out all day Sunday and then the flare hit Sunday night. Fast forward, 4am Monday morning was woke up by monthly cramps, excessive bleeding, migraine and the pain killer was working a whopping 2 hours. Of course the emotions had to get envolved and I balled like a 2 year old on and off Monday night (over installing a new light fixture)!? I mean a real tear jerker here! You see my female parts need to come out but the GI says a resounding NO....so I get to suffer through this. I gave in and took a sick day (a rare occurance). The only time I'll do that is when I can't stay out of the bathroom long enough to get in the car! Whinnnnnny today aren't I! Hang in there, hope things look sunny soon.

Broomhilda..that's really terrible. I HATE early early morning attacks like those. What on earth are you supposed to do but get emotional? I can't count how times I've cried myself to sleep and cried myself awake because of this disease. You deserved to take a day off definitely. I really hope you feel better soon. My thoughts are with you!

Broomhilda why can't you get the parts out? I had a total hysterectomy about 10-12 years ago, best thing I ever did. Now no more of the migraines, tearjerkers, mood swings, pain. I am so happy I can just take my little estrogen pill everynight and no longer have to live thru those miseries.
Been living with Crohn's Disease for 32 years.  Currently on Asacol, Prilosec 60 mg, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain and Calcium.  Resections in 2002 and 2005.  Recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and doing tests to see if I have Inflammatory Arthritis or AS.
