Well I managed to get passed the anniversary of my surgery which was on Aug 3rd...........But tonight Holy Cow I suddenly am being kicked in the butt. I am in so much pain that I can't even lay down. My lower back in the center and my right side is killing me. Hubby told me to wake him if I need a trip to the er but I am in denial. How can I feel so great and then all the sudden outta the blue BAM it hits me. It is my own fault for not going on the meds after the surgery but I can't handle the huge doses of Pentasa. Say a prayer that it is only a fluke and I will wake in the morning and feel better.

They say laughter is the best medicine....then why are my pants wet, my gut sore and I am still laughing!!!

Hopefully its just a fluke and hope you get feeling better.  But I do want to tell you that you really should be on a maintenance medication to keep your Crohns undercontrol.  And Pentasa is one of the mildest meds you can take with little to no side effects.  I went unmedicated and it ended with an emergency resection.  But to take something to keep the inflammation down instead of letting it go unchecked is the best advice I can give you.  Do you still have any of the Pentasa left, maybe you should get back on it and see how you feel.  Good luck!

Been living with Crohn's Disease for 32 years.  Currently on Asacol, Prilosec 60 mg, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain and Calcium.  Resections in 2002 and 2005.  Recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and doing tests to see if I have Inflammatory Arthritis or AS.

Nanners I never got the script filled. I am going to call him to see if he can give me something because I really don't want to go through this and I was pig headed for not listening. I feel 95% better today but still feel like something has a squeeze on my right side everytime i get up. I am off to call the dr to see what I can do.
