My boyfriend took me out for dinner tonight at a Chinese restaurant(hey it's for my birthday so I took a pain pill and ate a lot of plain meat and rice..so sue me..). Although I did eat small amounts of things perhaps I shouldn't have. I think I just ate too much. A little afraid for later, but I will just have to remain careful as I have been. Anyway! I digress. I just thought I would share my fortune. I found it rather amusing in light of the troubles this disease has caused as of...its diagnosis. Hah:

"Accept something that you cannot change, and you will feel better."

Gee, thanks.

The food was good though. Here's to me having a magical get out of jail free card for the evening. I really don't want to spend it ill in the restroom..then again, who does actually? Blame the pain pill for this one. I can't believe how oddly they affect behavior.

I love fortune cookies! I met my husband right after I broke off a 5 year relationship w/ my ex. I really wanted some time for just me. So for three months I "dated" him but refused to be exclusive (although I wasn't seeing anyone else I just did not want a boyfriend again). He really liked me but thought I might be playing games with him. He wasn't sure what to do or whether to wait and got a fortune cookie that said "Be satisfied with one chapter at a time." And sure enough, that month I agreed he was my boyfriend and we have been together ever since!! That was 9 years ago. Right after we were married he got another one that said "you and your wife will have a happy life." How did the fortune know he was male!

26 Year old married female law student (last year!!). Diagnosed w/ CD 4 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD. I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night. I also take a birth control pill to allow some fun in my life.

Four kids...wow!! I've been second mom to a lot of the kids in my family, but I can't imagine how rewarding it is to have your own...that's really wonderful :)

I know how it is to be in that 'like him but want to keep your distance' place..it was like that for a year with my boyfriend, but god life without him doesn't even seem possible. That's so sweet about the fortune cookie haha makes me giggle out loud a little bit actually. I love stories like that.

Thanks for the birthday wishes by the way! I have to wish for the very same thing. Toilet free sounds nice x_X

Happy Belated B-day LMills!!! Fun to cheat with foods like that, huh. Hopefully you won't get any "returns" from it. LOL Thought I would share my "best" fortune cookie message:

It said "Accept the next proposition you receive". The next proposition I received was from my beloved husband, to which I of course said yes. I heard that one of my managers at work keeps all the fortunes he gets. I have only kept the one above, and a second that said my career will move in the right direction, which it did too. Weird, huh???
