I'm sorry...that's really really terrible. I hope you're getting in to see a doctor soon at least? Let us know how you're doing please. I had a small fistula before, and the only way mine went away was because of antibiotics they were giving me for post-surgery due to an ectopic pregnancy(THAT was a nice hospital stay).

Due to start Imuran September 17 depending on blood results.

i got some ideas for you.

If it is NOT infected.. Then i would TRY to close it up naturally with neosporin OITMENT not the cream.
Take HOT Baths obviously.
do what you can to help urself naturally along with your remicaid.
I use guaze and oitment.

How do you close it with Neosporin? Just rub it on there? Can that make an abscess reappear? Sorry-but I'm kind of new to the fistula thing (lucky me!)
Bad flare May '06 resulted in CD diagnosis-symptoms for 10 yrs prior.
Asacol: 2400 mg/day

Hi I'am not sure what Kasper87 meant because I don't know the area he has infecyed. I did use cream for awhile when I had my abdomen one I put it on gauze and then had that taped,as far as rectal fistula's I am not sure if most people use ointment or not. I also found that B-12 helped me alot.Let us know how you are doing .I know I was very upset when I had one to skin surface. I was convinced it would never go away it took about 6 months or so but I had had abcess surgery there .Yes you probably should keep getting your rem. Just takes a little time. lol gail

Usually when you start remicade, you get infusions at week 0, 2, and 6.  And then you start every 8 weeks.  Is there a reason that you have gone 3 weeks since your first?  Tomorrow is Thurs., so I would wait and see what happens after this infusion.   My experience is that they aren't going to clear up immediately.  It took mine 5 infusions to totally close and stay closed.  Hang in there!
