My Dr wants me to go on Humira. I just stopped taking Remicade as I had developed serious
allergic reactions and side effects.

I am kind of scared and would like to know other' experiences. To me it looks like the same
types of side effects can happen.

Just started Humira myself. Was REALLY worried about the side effects. My GI eased all of my worries but just haven't seen much result at this point and it may still be too soon. I have only had 3 injections. When I took the first 4 dosing injections the next day woke with major headache. Those have subsided with lesser injections. I've had issues with being extremely tired, some swelling of legs and hands. I really cant positively say that these are related to the Humira or the combo of everything currently taking.
But I do sympathize with you it is not an easy decision. In my case I just went for it. I've felt so bad anyway & figured how much worse could it get. So I did and going to keep it up just to see.

Good luck and hope you get to feeling better soon.

Lucky, I also had to stop Remicade due to allergic reactions so I was really scared when I started Cimzia.  After a year on a clinical trial for that, I switched to Humira, which I have been on for 2 months.  The only reaction I've noticed is an itchy, red injection site reaction that usually pops up the day after I inject.  Benedryl or Zyrtec and cortizone cream haven't helped much, so my GI yesterday told me to also take Zantac or Pepsid a couple days before I inject and that seems to help for some reason.  I figured that I would have worse reactions, but have done well.  Oh, I do get fairly frequent upper respiratory infections, but you can get that with Remicade too.  So yes, most of the side effects are the same, but I've had much much fewer ones with Cimzia and Humira than with Remicade (and I had less reactions to Cimzia than to Humira...no itchy injection site, just a whelp there with Cimzia).  I hope Humira works well for you!

I, too, reacted to Remicade and moved to Humira which has less of a chance to react due to building antibodies.

I've been on it for 1.5 years and just love it. No side effects.

I am in agreement with Aimee.  I reacted to Remicade and had to stop it.  Went on Humira with much better success and no side effects beyond that itchy red bump at the injection site. Been on it for 2 1/2 years now and in complete remission.  Give it a try and don't worry too much about the side effects.  You probably won't have any at all.
