My health insurance is a large HMO in Southern California.  I have always been so jealous of those who were able to go to Mayo or always talked about the progressive medical care they were receiving.  I saw my GI yesterday for a follow-up, and it looks like they are finally starting to catch up.  As some of you may remember I briefly flared early in July and was able to take Pred for a quick 10 wean and it worked to stop my flare.  Well I will be doing a CT-Enterography sometime soon to see whats going on in my small intestine.  This is supposed to be the newest replacement for the SBFT.  We also had conversations about how GI's are now trying not to use Pred as much.  We have had conversations before about the top down approach and my insurance wasn't for that, now they are.  I am just so excited that we are finally starting to treat Crohns in a more progressive manner.  It might be baby steps but thank God they are finally catching up. yeah
