I'm down to soft foods again and lots of liquids so this is upsetting me. It started to get bad today.

Every time I eat anything (even ensure) I cramp up under my sternum and get nauseated. I'm sitting here with tea and graham crackers and it started again. I'm not throwing up and I don't feel blocked up. The feeling eventually passes but it's really uncomfortable--especially the nausea.

Have had a lot of D lately--was doing ok and then had food poisoning. Humira seems really slow to work and I'm sure the food poisoning set me back.

What's going on?

That's exactly how I was feeling prior to my last hospital visit. It finally got so bad that I couldn't eat anything, and ended up NOT eating anything except for ensure, boost, and water for nearly two weeks before I went into the ER. I'm not really sure what to tell you as far as what it is...it may just be something is somewhat blocked. You don't have a hiatal hernia by any chance do you? I know that I get similar symptoms also when that has been irritated. Is there any way you can call your GI's office and see what is going on? I'm sorry you're going through this..I know how horrible it feels, and I seriously hope you find out what is going on so you can get better.

On a side note though...are you sure the wheat content in the graham crackers won't irritate anything? I resorted to them for a while but noticed it only made things worse..just a thought though I'm definitely not saying they're what's causing it. Far far from it.
