Hi, everyone.  I have not been around for a while, I have been doing good.  But now I have a new diagnosis!  Some people collect, say, Hummel figurines, or Redsox pennants, but I collect diseases!!  I now have three--crohn's, autoimmune hepatitis, and sarcoidosis.  It was diagnosed after a biopsy of some non-painful lumps in my legs and arms.  I haven't seen a specialist or anything, so I don't know how else my body is affected.   Does anyone out there have Sarcoidosis?  Any advice/help for me?

Hi Was just reading up on it and hopeing your case will be a mild one. I don't know if anyone has it here or not. I haven't heard of it but from what I read there are lots of people who have it. So how is it treated? lol gail

Hi Pix,

My husband has sarcoidosis and I know that it is important to have your lungs looked at (catscan w/contrast). You can develop the granulomas in your lungs and it can give you trouble with breathing. I am fairly certain and can impact any organ but I think it is more common for the lungs, liver, eyes and skin (as you know). Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon.

Hi Pix,

My heart goes out to you with this new diagnosis!

I work with a guy who has Sarcoidosis.  He said his case is mild and when it does act up, it is harder to breathe and his joints and back hurt.  I really hope yours will be mild!

I have scleritis and I saw a new eye doctor today.  He believes my eye inflammation most likely is from the Crohn's but scleritis is not very common with Crohn's so he ran some other tests, and one of them was a chest x-ray to see if I have sarcoidosis.

Take care and please keep us posted on how you are doing!

Thanks, guys. I haven't had any further tests beside the biopsy, and I know my lungs will get evaluated. what is just a little bit upsetting (ha, ha) is that my mother died from pulmonary fibrosis, which can also be the result of scarring from sarcoidosis. I don't know if she had sarcoidosis, but she did have "cysts" in her liver. I'm trying not to go down that worry path,........
