Well I thought imuran was going to be my answer. I got great relief of symptoms and was down to 2.5 mg of pred. Then all that went down the toilet!!
Dr thought I was just having troble getting off pred so I went back up to 5mg. Nope that wasn't it so jumped up to 30 mg. Nope that didn't work either.....
I am now strictly drinking ensure and still getting some pain and nausea when I drink that. I am so worn out that I feel like i can barely walk. I am just completely exausted!!

I go to my GI tomorrow and I am not sure where we are going from here. I have pre approval from my insurance for remicade or humira, so I am thinking that is where we go. But I am concerned that this is another obstruction. The last one I had lead to surgery and removel of 16 inches.

Will remicade or humira calm all that down? Or will it just calm a flare? I am hoping I can start rem or humira right away and it will work. Will the obstruction go away or lessen if the imflamtion gets calmed down?

It has been so many years since I was this sick. I got complete remission from my last surgery 10 years ago and only had mild symptoms for the past 5 years until this past February.

Thanks for any info you can give me.
Dx with Crohn's in 1997 after 5 years of worsening symptoms.
Resection a few months after dx after 1 month on TPN and IV steroids.
Also have severe asthma.

Tried: Pentasa, Cholestyramine

Presently taking: 3.2 grams Asacol, 150 Imuran (just started June 08), now on 20 mg prednisone, probiotics. For asthma I take Advair 500, singulair, arieus

Sorry to hear you're not doing well.  Like you, I went on Imuran thinking it would put in remission and it didn't.  I started Remicade last April.  I've been doing really well since.  I had a partial obstruction and it seems to have taken care of it.  I wish I would have started it a long time ago instead of messing with Imuran, Pentasa and Pred.  It's scary to think about at first, but really it's a piece of cake!

Good luck to you!
