First, what I am grateful for (I feel like I cannot rant until I acknowledge the good in my life)... I am marrying the love of my life at the end of October. I have a wonderful family and many dear friends AND I have a very good job that allows me to work from a home office. Above ALL else, my Crohn's could be A LOT worse. Overall, I have been blessed with a very good life.

Now for the rant...

I am sick of being sick. I just finished taking a 10 day course of Cipro for a suspected UTI (I guess I had elevated white blood cells in my urine). I am so freaking tired and my pee smells as foul as ever. I think I have a yeast infection from the antibiotics. I am totally nauseated and have a headache that tylenol won't touch. I get overheated doing the simplest tasks, but I do not have a temp above 99.5. I am breaking out like a teenager and am at my heaviest weight ever. I just got over my period and have taken a few pregnancy tests, so I KNOW I am not pregnant. Oh yeah, and I have internal and external hemorrhoids that are acting up. To top it all off, I seem to be pooping my pants at least twice a week these days.

Okay, I think I am done. Thank you for listening.

I'm sorry :(
I hope you get better soon...
Are you seeing a doctor for any of this or are you just expected to wait it out and see?
Either way, I admire you for remembering the positive side.

It can be so tiresome sometimes, feeling beaten at every angle. Hang in there and keep on with the positive outlook. Venting is good when you need it!

I wish you the very best. And I have to admit I'm pleased to find another person with CD suffering from weight gain. I just don't understand as nothing seems to stay with me for very long.

Thank you everyone for letting me vent. I am going to call my doc and see if I can get my blood work done sooner than next week, as I am convinced I still have some sort of infection happening in the old war zone!

ManxMamma - Please know that you are NOT alone in the weight gain thing. I have had a 100 lb swing in my weight since being diagnosed in 2002. First, I lost like 40-50 lbs and then I got better and gained all of that weight back and then some :-( I hate the fact that I am an overweight crohnie...I thought that when I got diagnosed that being thin would be the upside...no such luck!
